Here is our last visual representation of the amazing and memorable family reunion we recently hosted. After a whirlwind week of exhilarating activities, the family’s final day included a walk through central Cape Town taking in some of the sights, sounds and shops. It was a real delve into this vibrant and complex city’s past and present, starting at the infamous and humbling District Six museum with its representation of the dark days of apartheid.
From there the walk took in the equally famous Streetwire project where local artists can literally make anything out of wire.
Next were the craft shops of bustling Greenmarket square, the colourful Muslim community of Bo Kaap, the Gold museum and finally the trendy shops and cafes along the length of Long Street (according to one weary family member a street well named!)
