Hannes, senior coordinator at our sister company Wedding Concepts, recently flew to the Kruger Park to meet prospective clients and stayed at this small game lodge. He came back rejuvenated and raving about his stay:

“Unforgettable is one word to describe my experience at Shumbalala. We were received in royal fashion by the friendly, attentive staff. Our rooms were immaculate and for the duration of my stay it felt as though I owned a part of Africa – complete with outside shower, private stoep, and an entourage of wild animals to match suite.

The setting for dinner on both nights was mesmerizing. All around us bonfires were blazing and the staff was always at hand and charming. At breakfast, the waterhole, right in front of Shumbalala, delivered when a whole array of animals came for their morning drink. Everything from baboons, giraffe, eland and kudu lined up for their turn. The game drives proved to be most exciting. Our expert game driver managed to get us right up close and personal with a herd of Elephants – we’re talking one metre away from them! Nerve wrecking, unbelievable, magical! Besides the Elephants we spotted Cheetah, Leopard, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffe, White & Black Rhino. The fact that we did not see any Lions did not detract from the experience”
